This homemade orange creamsicle recipe is such an easy recipe. You only need 4 ingredients (5 if we are counting the cup of ice). So what do you need? You will need some fresh orange juice, coconut milk, honey, pure vanilla extract, and some ice cubes.

Instructions:

First, you will need to juice oranges. You can absolutely use store-bought juice over the fresh juice, but I personally think the best way is to go ahead and go with the fresh juice! Something about the fresh orange flavor gives you that original creamsicle flavor you’re going for. When you slice your oranges to juice, go ahead and cut you an orange slice to garnish (if you’d like). Final thing on the oranges, always go for the organic oranges with seeds, you’ll get the most nutrients that way.

Next, you will grab you cup and fill it with ice (you could also use a cocktail shaker for this). Pour in your orange juice, coconut milk, honey, and vanilla extract. Shake or stir. Garnish. And that’s it. See, I told you this was going to be easy!

Want to make more out of this recipe?

You can make a frozen creamsicle by putting all the ingredients with ice and blending it. I’ve personally never loved the shaved ice/frozen margarita consistency, but my kids love when I blend it up for them!

You can also make this into a homemade popsicle. I love making homemade popsicles for my kids – I don’t have to worry about bad ingredients, you know, like “natural flavors”. And the best part is you can buy really cute popsicle molds and make them your own. Your kids will think you are the coolest mom ever. Or if you are just making these for adults you can just use regular popsicle sticks, they will still taste just as good! If you would like more of a creamy popsicle, you can add some yogurt – just adjust to your preference. I would also suggest adding a little extra honey. You can taste it before you pour into the molds. You will want it to be a little more sweet than you prefer. Whenever you freeze it, some of the sweetness goes away. Sometimes I will also zest the orange and add a little of the orange zest to the recipe. This makes for a more citrusy orange flavor, and it’s honestly one of the key components to making this popsicle stand out even more!
